Never have hard brown sugar again.
Soak in water for about 15 minutes, pat dry, then place in covered brown sugar to keep it moist for up to 3 months.
Also keeps cakes and cookies moist, raisins, coconut and other dried fruits fresh, popcorn kernels moist (resulting in an increased yield when popped), tobacco and cigars moist, and licorice fresh.
When dried in the oven it keeps dry spices, salt, cameras and electronic equipment, and keeps crackers and chips crispy.
