Made of corn or wheat flour, the unleavened tortilla is Mexico's staple bread. Eat it by itself, roll it around your favorite veggie or meat, fry it, or cut it an fry it, in a shell or flake shape for filling. The possibilities for its use are as endless as your imagination.
How to use a Tortilla Press: Place a sheet of wax paper or plastic wrap on the bottom surface. Add a small ball of dough in the center. Place another sheet of wax paper or plastic wrap on top. Lower the top plate, and press down on the handle to flatten dough. Remove the sheet-covered tortilla and place it in one hand, then peel the sheet of wrap off with the other. Repeat for the other side.
